I recently had the privilege of documenting a traditional Korean first birthday, known as a dohl. The family, Jewish and Korean, does a great job of teaching their children about customs from both cultures. Korean dohl's are a big deal, with more than 100 guests all waiting for the little guest of honor to pick his/her destiny by selecting either rice (health), yarn (long life), money (wealth) or books (scholarship). Have a look at this handsome family.
